ABOUT ME

Qualifying in 2005 with an Honours degree in Podiatric Medicine from The London Foot Hospital, part of University College London, I gained valuable experience working for Lambeth Primary Care Trust working in the community, health care centres and hospitals such as Kings College and St Thomas’s.

I continued my study along side working and completed a Masters degree in Podiatric Biomechanics in 2014 at Staffordshire University.

Sport has always been a huge part of my life and involved myself in netball at university, I have run in 10km’s, 1/2marathons and completed 2 marathons before finding a new passion and respect for weight lifting and training in Crossfit. Having taken time off training whilst looking after my two young children, I now find the time again to train consistently.

I have worked in multidisciplinary practices around Wirral and Cheshire with physiotherapists, osteopaths and massage therapists and now work solely in private practice.

I am a Member of Royal College of Podiatry for full insurance cover for nail surgery and local anaesthetics, minor verruca surgical procedures including a full scope of practice including gait analysis and biomechanics.

Now I live in Heswall, Wirral providing podiatry & chiropody services based at Pilates by Physio in Heswall and Heswall Physiotherapy.  However, I also work at Footworks, West Kirby part of the week and have been at the practice since 2015. Covering surrounding areas such as Thingwall, Caldy, Greasby, Hoylake, Pensby, Parkgate and Neston across Wirral and Cheshire.

After 17 years of Podiatric practice, I am committed to the profession, continually wanting to provide first class podiatry foot care and treatment to all patients. I believe I have gained a broad working experience and continue to further my educational learning, updating with CPD courses and keep up to date providing evidence based practice.

It is important to me to build trust and a professional relationship with patients and most importantly have happy, satisfied patients. From simple nail cutting to more specialised biomechanical foot pain, musculo-skeletal such as planater fasciitis, Achillies tendonopathy conditions in old or young.  Contact your Podiatrist Joanna, in Heswall, Wirral today to book an appointment
